I have taught all the grades K-5 at one time or another. I grew up in Brunswick, Maine, the ninth of eleven children. Much of what I know about working with children, I learned from my parents. They were wonderful examples. I attended the University of Maine at Orono where I earned my degree in speech and language pathology. I worked as a speech clinician for 2 years in the public school system, then went to the University of Southern Maine to earn my masters degree in education through the Extended Teacher Education Program. I have been teaching for 17 years, 11 of those years in this district. My husband and I have 2 beautiful children and a dog to keep us busy in our spare time. I do truly enjoy working with children each and every day and feel extremely lucky to be a teacher.
